The prize from Goodwill

I was looking at all my bookmarked bogs one day. Ran across one with a cast iron dress form that looked so cute. Last week while I was on a hunt for goodies at Goodwill I found the dress form. Identical to the one on the blog. I was so excited and thought I found the prize! A few of my tags are hanging from the skirt. Couldn't resist putting a dictionary flower on it to dress it up.

I just love posting pictures to my blog! I have two very happy Airedales, Otto and Emma. They have 2 very different personalities that are so funny. Emma is has more reddish hair. They love playing in the snow!

Card Purse

I was experimenting with a clear plastic packaging I had in my craft room. End result a cute purse with stamped and embellished cards. Lots of fun.

CD Vintage Book

One sheet wonder

Love this little book! So simple to make. Take 1 sheet of 12 x 12 paper, score at 2, 6 & 10 inches. Then turn paper and score at 3, 6 & 9 inches. Learned how to make these from a Stampin Up Demonstrator. Use card stock to decorate pages.

Cricut Backpacks

Hi everyone! Just wanted to share with you what I made the first time I crafted with Andrea. I think these backpacks are so stinkin cute I just love the little one. They both have outside pockets to hold the tiny note cards I made. More to come later....

Very excited to share with you my new organized paper and my clutter free desk. Woo Hoo It has taken a very long time to get my desk clutter free. Must confess Andrea, my local crafting buddy was coming over to craft. She needed a space for her cricut and laptop. That was my incentive to get my space cleaned up. We crafted on Thursday and my hard work was appreciated.

This is a view of the album standing up.

The first page of the Easter Album wasn't posted in the previous post. And I am adding the Easter Egg Decoration photos as well.

I am very excited about the Easter Projects I have completed recently. First is an Easter Egg cut out with my Cricut Expressions machine. My second project is an accordion Easter album. I love the Easter vintage images and crepe paper in both projects.

Easy centerpieces

March 16th, 2010
I had friends over for dinner the other night and needed a quick and easy centerpiece. To update regular glass vases, I looked to my stash of wrapping paper. Inspired by Fabra’s idea of covering milk cartons with paper to make unique vases, I thought wrapping my vases in a colorful print could add interest to my table.

I took two of our India prints and wrapped the vases just like you would wrap a box using removable double-stick tape. For the larger vase, I added a band of satin ribbon to the top of the paper and left a portion of the glass vase exposed. It took less than 10 minutes to get everything together and instantly brightened up the table. The flowers have since been tossed, but the paper held up and the vases are waiting to be filled again with new blooms.

Dictionary flowers

i watched Donna Salazar's video on her dictionary flowers and LOVED them. My first try went in the trash. The red flower is my 2nd try. I put a button in the center with pearl ex powder. The second flower has gold Glimmer Mist and Stickles and a button. I love making these flowers, they are so much fun. All you need is scalloped circles to make them. I picked up dictionaries at my local Goodwill for $1. I literally just randomly cut up the pages to make scallops. You also need to cut tissue paper in scallops. Rotate tissue paper with the dictionary scallops for a total of 3 to 4 layers. I would not recommend using your Cricut to cut out tissue paper because it will just stick to you mat.

I can cut you a nice supply of scollops, large and small to make 5 flower for $5 plus a $1 for shipping. I have blue, pink and white tissue paper.
