Martini Glass Candy Dish

Just wanted to share a fun creation I made. I took an old dictionary and mod podged onto the glass. It didn't look very good so I took sheet music and tried again. Second time around looked good. I pained the base and put trim on the rim of the glass. Now you have a fun candy dish. I'm going to make some for Halloween. Yes, I'm already thinking about Halloween projects. LOL

Trying a new technique

I was looking though some of my books the other day. One project jumped out at me so I thought I would try it. It was fun because it involved ink, paint, stamping and prima flowers. I started out inking the paper then painted a thin coat of white paint over the ink. Drying time was quick because I wiped all the excess paint off. Then I stamped on the paint layer, distressed the paper edge, added buttons and a prima flower. Felt like I was in kindergarden again playing with finger paints. Very fun!

I added beaded to the crown and thought it really finished it off. More pictures of the finished project. I sure hope my Gibbs sister likes it!

Girly Girl Crown

This was my first attempt at making a crown. I'm in a craft swap and thought a crown would be perfect for one of the items. Thought it turned out kinda of cute.

My new favorite Provo Craft Cricut Cartridge is Songbird. I monogramed my Pink Expression and Original Cricut. Had so much fun working with vinyl today. Try it out.

Vintage Wall Hanging

Andrea and I got together again for a day of crafting. I made a vintage wall hanging with a B & W photo. Craigslist had a box of misc old pictures listed and couldn't pass up buying it. The photo came from the Craigslist box. I used a page from a children's dictionary I found at Goodwill, the buttons came from my grandma's stash.

The cigar box is a work in progress. The box has some major tweaking left to do.

I'm involved in an album swap on the Provo Craft message board. It is the small shape word book swap that Kathy Orta is coordinating. My partner for the 3rd and final month of the swap is Nikki Rich. I just received her album a couple of days ago and was completely amazed by her work and detail to the album. This album is just incredible.

Brownies and B & W family photo's

Never intended on collecting Brownies. However, over time have managed to collect them. I love my families old b & w photo's and like them displayed with the Brownies. One day I will take them to a camera shop to see if I have one that works. I would love to take a photography class. I am in the picture with the kids, that picture was taken in Ste Geneieve Missouri. The other picture is with my mom and her girlfriends.
