Mouse Trap Memo Board

Hi everyone,

Graphic 45 has a wonderful blog with awesome projects posted. A friend was looking at it and found this project. We had so much fun making it. Denise lives in New Jersey so we skyped and crafted. I used Tim Holtz hardware, embellishments, vintage images and Pink Paisley Butterfly Garden paper line.

Happy crafting,

Laurie

Free Spirit Cigar Box Swap

Hi everyone,

Just wanted to share what I received in the Free Spirit Cigar Box Swap. My partner was Lorretta Harwell. She was very generous with me. I received the cigar box filled with 3 Websters Pages pin flowers and a stamp. She also gave me a coordinating scrapbook set that matches the cigar box, I also received a 6x6 scrapbook layout and a wonderful mini album. Can't wait to use the things I received in upcoming projects.

Thanks Lorretta.

Happy crafting,

Siteman Mini Album Project

I am truly sorry to say I left out acknowledging my friends from Splitcoast Stampers as contributors to the project. I was giving albums from Diana, Joann, Carol, Danette and I hope I'm not leaving anyone out this time. I am so grateful you all participated in the project that is so dear to my heart. I plan to do another album project in the spring for Siteman patients. Please consider joining us making albums for the patients.

Origami Star box

I was playing around on You Tube and found a video on an Origami star box. My friend Kathy made one that I loved and I had to make one. It took about 5 minutes and is very easy to do. You need a bone folder to make the folds crisp and a square piece of paper. I used a 12x12 sheet of paper and it made a box with a 3 inch opening and 5 inch inside and bottom. Hope you try it.

Donated Scrapbooks to Siteman Cancer Center

I enlisted my friends on Life on The Scrap Beach to make scrapbooks to donate. My plan was to get 25 mini albums to donate to Siteman Cancer Center. They are distributing to their patients. Kathy was so excited to receive al the books. They were amazing. I showed them off to all my friends prior to donating them. LOL I got rave reviews on each and every book. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for taking the time and energy it took to make very special books for the hospital. I plan to make this an annual project. Anyone who would like to make mini albums please leave a comment. It was so rewarding doing this project. The picture is Kathy at the hospital with the albums.

Kimswick Strawberry Festival

Hi everyone,
My friend Joann and I decided to go to a LSS about 30 miles from St Louis in Kimswick MO. We get to Kimswick only to find cars everywhere. It was the annual Strawberry Festival. LOL We had to park about 5 blocks from the Festival. Part of the draw going to Kimswick is to eat at the Blue Owl. They had a 2.5 hour wait so we decided to eat at the Sweet Shop. The food was delicious. They had a gift shop with sock moneys. Then we walked to The Stamp Pad to shop for crafting and stamp supplies. Leanne tries to carry products all the local stores don't carry. It's always fun shopping there. After that we headed home. I was drinking tea in the car, low and behold the McDonalds cup lid came off and I dumped all over me and the car. LOL We made one more stop to Joanns. I shopped with wet paints. LOL  Here are some pictures from out adventure.

Happy crafting,

Stamp Camp at Joann's

Hi everyone,

Once a month I go to Stamp Camp at joann Huber's house. Joann has been a Stapmin Up Representative for over 10 years. She designed 5 cards (we make 2 of each), provides beverages and snacks. It is always a fun evening. I'm posting pictures of our Stamp Camp last Friday, June 1, 2012.

Thanks for looking.
