Halloween Advent Calendar

This was a halloween advent calendar from Target. I covered the little boxes with vintage halloween paper. I used my crop a dial to punch a hole in the center and added a stampin up jumbo eyelet and looped ribbon for a drawer pull. I'm going to fill the boxes with candy and give it to my swap partner. My partner promised not to peek.

Stamp Camp Cards

Last night I went to Stamp Camp and made 5 different cards. We make 2 of each style for a total of 10 cards. I have so much fun going to Stamp Camp at Joanne's house. Joanne sells Stampin Up, each month she has Stamp Camp at her house.

Family Applique Quilt

This is a very special quilt for me. I made it for my mother for Mother's Day 2000. This is the first quilt I finished. The pictures are all family photos. One of my favorite pictures with my late sister is in the quilt. The large picture is my grandmother. There is another picture at her 100th birthday party. My grandmother lived to be 103. My mom has it hanging in her bedroom. I decided to have it machine quilted so it would be completed on Mother's Day that year. The quilter followed the pattern in the fabric so the back round looks like wallpaper. I did all piecing and hand applique on the quilt. I ironed muslin fabric on freezer paper, cut is down to 8 1/2 x 11 and copied the pictures onto the fabric. Worked really well.

Welcome sign in entry way

The welcome sign was made with black cricut vinyl with my Expression machine and George cartridge. I've had it up on the wall for several months now and getting ready to change it. So I thought it would be nice to take a before picture. Still planning what I'm going to put up next. This is the entry way to my house, the peg board houses my keys, dogs leashes, and purse. There is a rustic bench under the peg board.

Apple Picking

My next door neighbor asked if she could pick some apples. I told her I didn't think they were good. The dogs use them for edible toys, play ball and eat them. Jessica and her friends asked if they could pick apples. I said yes of course. Jessica said the apples are very good and she has been using them all season. I'm really glad they are being used. I had no idea they were good. Jessica also brought over baked goods she made with the apples. Everything was so yummy.

Halloween Witches Shoe

Here is a shoe I made from a template from a Craft Magazine. I took the template to Office Max to enlarge it. It was a fun project to make. I'm going to wrap the shoe in cello and put a big orange bow on it. It will be my mom's Halloween gift.

I also made a cute Halloween ornament from 2 wooden spools, wire, and beads. I'm going to use it for a Ceiling Fan chain pull. I love decorating for Halloween. I think almost as much as Christmas. The ornament is hanging from the shoe in the first photo.

Christmas Angel Ornament

I've been wanting to make an angel I saw in "Pretty Little Things" by Julie Collings for a long time. I finally took the time to make one last night. Working with wool fiber is very easy and forgiving. The hardest thing was making the micro mini paper chain. I also made a Christmas planner to track gifts, cards, decorations and meal planning. The planner was made with small paper bags and tags.
