Tim Holtz flower bound book

My friend Dianna taught me how to make a new book bound with Tim Holtz flowers. I just love making these books. So far I've made 2 of them. They are so much fun to make. The base of the book are envelopes and you cover with paper. Then make inserts for all the pockets. Every insert has flowers and buttons glued on as tabs. Too stinkin cute.

Birthday present for a friend

My friend Renee in NV is moving into a new house. She will have a craft room. Her birthday is coming up and I asked her what theme she was decorating her room in. She is going with a cowboy theme. So I decorated an "R" for her new room in a cowboy theme. Hope she likes it.

CD Calendar

I had so much fun making this CD Calendar. I picked it up at Michaels for 10 cents and covered the top portion with paper from a Basic Grey retired collection, Lily Kate. Then I cut images from A Child's Year cricut cartridge. I stickeled the images to give them a little sparkle.

Set of Cards

I made a set of cards for a friend this week. I used A Child's Year cricut cartridge for the dress form and dress on the card. The card was cut from Just Because Cards cricut cartridge. This project was fun because I learned some new features on my cricut Gypsy. woo hoo

Art class color palette

I've been taking art classes at Barnes Hospital/Siteman Cancer Center. The classes are open for any of the Sitemas Cancer Center patients and cancer survivors. I had cancer when I was 16 and a recurrence at 36. I've been cancer free for several years now. The teacher is a Professor at Washington U and she donates her time. Vickie has been doing these classes for approximately 6 years. I just love them and have learned so much. Today she had us make a color palette by mixing colors, we used acrylic paint on canvas. I just love learning how to draw and work with different mediums.

Butterfly Embellishment

Hi everyone. I've had so much fun crafting this week. First off I want to share a butterfly embellishment I made. My inspiration came from the InkStainedwithLori.blogspot.com. Her blog is amazing. I took 22 gauge wire and formed my butterfly then flattened it and put it on a sheet of music and filled it in with glossy accents. You can use UTEE but I wanted to do it quick and easy. LOL Going for the instant gratification. LOL This is how it turned out.

Ring made with beads

I was at Michael's over the weekend and learned how to make a ring with beads. Hope you like my version. They are fun to make. You just slide the bead on the wire and twist then add another bead. I used 9 total beads on my ring. Then after all the beads are on you size the ring on your finger and wrap the wire around and twist it. It's just a fun chunky ring.

I mixed up the charms so I don't know who did who but here is a list of the people in my swap group. I think everyone did a great job. There were a few people that had never made them before. I think they did pretty good.

4. Happydales
5. TU
6. LauraHunter
7. Tinkerbelle FLAKER (DID NOT SEND HER CHARMS IN)
8. heart2hand
9. J-Bear
10. CandyHazzard

Twisted Flower Hair Barrettes

Last night I tried making fabric twisted flowers for the first time. I made hair barrettes with them. My Beacon Adhesive fabric glue was dried up so I used E6000. The E6000 glue is awesome, I recommend it for a lot of different craft projects. I made button barrettes with E6000 and the buttons feel like they are cemented on the barrettes.

Set of stationary

This is a set of stationary I made with my Cricut Expressions machine with the Sentimentals cartridge. I just love the images form that cartridge.

Provo Craft Message Board Charm Swap

I managed to lose all of the charms I received in the swap except for one. This charm was made by Aniasse (sp?) from the Provo Craft Message Board. She did such a great job on it. I just love it.

Stick pins

My friend Tammy from Colorado has me addicted to making stick pins. Here is a picture of what I made on my first attempt at making them.

Barnes and Noble Craft Group

Additional pictures from today's get together at Barnes and Noble.

Cards from the Barnes and Noble Craft Group

Here are pictures of everyone's project for this months get together. I think everyone did an exceptional job designing their cards.

Barnes and Noble Splitcoast Craft Group

Every month I get together with my craft group at Barnes and Noble. We put together a shoebox project for everyone to make. This months theme was acetate. I went to the Teacher's Recycle Store and found picture frame bases. I just covered the picture frame and cut the back out with a craft knife. My friend Dianna has the Sixxix flower die and she let me cut enough for the group. I used acetate to cover the window.

Project for The Collectors Cut Blog

This week is a friends birthday and I decided to do a project for her. Danette picked this saying for this vinyl project. It was so much fun to make. I had my blade set at 6 and other settings at 3. I used Wall Decor for the crown and the font is from Nursery Rhymes. I put rhinestone crystals on the crown to bling it up a bit.

Button Bracelet

My mom's birthday is today and I decided to make her a button bracelet. I used oval jump rings so the buttons would lay correctly.

New project for The Collectors Cut Blog

My random cartridge this week was Nursery Rhymes. My friend Tonya had a baby a few months ago and I wanted to make something for her. I decided on making a nursery mobile. I hope she likes it. I cut 1 mat size and a front and a back, then used pop dots to give them a 3 dimensional look. I hung everything from a wreath covered in organza fabric I picked up at Joann's.

You can go to http://thecollectorscut.blogspot.com to check out what everyone else did this week. The other projects are fabulous.
